About our speakers

Patricia Bright is described by The Guardian as “a YouTube sensation – a beauty, fashion and lifestyle guru”, she was recently included in the 2023 Powerlist of Britain’s most influential Black people.

She is also an international brand ambassador (for companies including L’Oréal, BMW, Google & Diet Coke) and author (of Heart and Hustle, a bestselling guide to brand-building for entrepreneurs).

Patricia started her YouTube channel when she was a student, and in 2013 switched from her job as a financial consultant to working full-time in social media. She was the first Black female creator in the UK to reach 1 million subscribers on YouTube, and has interviewed Hillary Clinton, Tracee Ellis Ross and Sabrina Elba.

In 2020, Patricia launched The Break, an online platform empowering millennial women to grow, both professionally and personally. She hosts its podcast, interviewing successful guests about when they received their big break – and how they have managed personal finance and relationships alongside their careers.

She’s a South London girl born and raised, now raising a young family of her own, she is seen as an inspiration to all of those who have followed her journey over the past decade.

A true multi-hyphenate, Reggie Yates has displayed prowess as a radio presenter on Radio 1, a television presenter for shows such as Top Of The Pops, a London Independent Film Festival award-winning film director and writer, and an actor.

Using his platform to empower others and tackle pressing issues, Reggie was named on the 2020 Powerlist as one of Britain’s most influential black personalities.
